Streak partners
A streak partner is a friend you keep a shared daily streak with. Each of you logs something every day, a workout or a walk, and your shared streak grows. It is the easiest way to keep each other going.
Before you start
You both need to be signed in, so Liftspan can connect your accounts. If you are not signed in yet, the partners card on the streak page shows a Sign in to add a partner button. See your account.
Invite a friend
- Tap the round flame button in the middle of the bottom bar to open your streak page.
- On the 👥 Streak partners card, tap ＋ Invite. Liftspan makes a six-character code.
- Send it with Share invite, Email it (which opens your own email app) or Copy link. You can type their email into Send it to first; if they already have a Liftspan account, the invite also appears in their app.
Once it is sent, the invite folds down to a single line marked waiting, with Resend and ✕ to cancel it. You can have as many invites waiting as you like, one for each friend, and each stays valid until it is accepted or you cancel it.
Accept an invite
If a friend sent you a link, open it. You will set up Liftspan as normal, and the invite links up once you sign in. If they sent you a code instead, open your streak page, type it into Got a code from a friend? and tap Join.
What your partner can see
Only this: your display name, whether you have logged today, your daily flame, and your shared streak. Never your weights, your workouts, your history, your health information or the joints you work around.
To change the name they see, go to Settings (🏅 You, then the ⚙️ gear) → Account & partners → Display name, and tap Save.
The shared streak
Your shared streak grows for every day you both log something. If one of you misses a day, it resets, but your own freezes cover your own missed days first, so a freeze can save it.
Nudge
If your partner has not logged yet today, tap 👋 Nudge on their row. They get a reminder in their app. You can nudge each partner once a day.
How many partners
Free members can have one streak partner. Pro members can have as many as they like PRO. To remove a partner, tap Remove on their row.
Common questions
Does my partner see my weights?
No. A partner sees your name, whether you logged today, your daily flame and your shared streak. Nothing from your training.
My friend says the code does not work.
Each code works once. If it has already been used, or you cancelled it, make a new invite. Also check they are signed in, and that on the free plan neither of you already has a partner.
